The DC Build-A Wave 6 Dark Knight Returns Superman 7-Inch Scale Action Figure includes alternate hands and a display base. Superman comes with up to 22 points of articulation and also comes with a collectable art card with artwork on front and character biography on the back. The figure includes 1 of 4 pieces that combine with The Dark Knight Returns Build-a line to assemble the Horse Batman rides into battle from the Dark Knight Returns (each figure sold separately).

Sent to Earth from the dying planet of Krypton as a baby, Kal-El was found by farmers Martha and Jonathan Kent and raised as their son, Clark. As Clark grew, the radiation from Earth's yellow sun gave him enhanced senses and extraordinary powers, including super-strength, super-speed, and flight. Now fully grown, he uses his powers to protect his adopted world as Superman. In the near future, after the Dark Knight comes out of retirement to fight crime once again, Superman is called in by the President to reason with Batman and quell the "ruckus" in Gotham City. Batman, however, has no plans to stop his war on crime. What results is an epic showdown between the two superheroes to determine the fate of the Earth.

Excellent rendition of DKR Superman

Big fan of Frank Miller's classic Batman story. When Mattel made the 6-inch line of TDKR figures, they maddeningly chose to make Superman into a Walmart (US) exclusive. It never showed up here in Canada. Thankfully, the McFarlane Superman isn't a stupid exclusive and is every bit as good as the Mattel version. The figure is well-painted, joints are tight, his face is sculpted perfectly to match Miller's art style. He even has toe articulation (the Mattel one did not)

Other than maybe including an alternate head with a calmer face ("Isn't tonight a school night?") when he captures Robin, this is a great figure for any Bat-fan.
