STARTING August 29
As announced, starting August 29, 2025, the United States will eliminate its $800 de minimis exemption. This means that all shipments from Canada to the U.S. will now be subject to duties and taxes based on the order value.
To make this transition smoother, Toy Snowman is setting up a new prepayment system:
✅ Duties & taxes will be calculated and collected at checkout.
✅ No surprise fees at delivery — your package will ship fully cleared.
✅ Faster processing at the border since charges are prepaid.
Why this matters

Without prepayment, U.S. Customs would collect duties/taxes upon delivery, which could cause delays or denied shipments.

With our new system, you’ll know the full cost upfront and avoid unexpected fees or returns.
We’ll share more details as the system rolls out. In the meantime, please note that until the update is live, U.S. orders may still incur duties and taxes payable at delivery.
