Star Wars : La Collection Vintage R2-D2 (L'Empire contre-attaque) Exclusif

R2 looks great, and has been slightly scaled down to better match with other figures (or to save money for Hasbro). The removable sensor scope is a cool gimmick, and is highly detailed and painted. When you push down the scope, the middle leg pops down, and when you push the leg back up into the body, the scope pops up. Unfortunately, you can't move R2's dome when the scope is inside, which sucks. This figure was originally packed as the Jabba's sail barge version, hence the panel on the front that opens to reveal the electric zapper used to break Leia's chain. It's very small, delicate, and fragile; the kind of thing you'd break within two minutes as a kid. Also, I wish they gave him a glossier "eye" instead of the flat matte paint job. Still, you could do a lot worse as far as R2s go!

Wow! First thing I noticed opening the parcel was how bright R2 is! Its very nice white and really captures that astromech droid look from empire strikes back. Now, although this is a very fine figure in the package, be warned if you do open this, try not to open his front hatch. It's very hard to keep it closed once you open it. The R2-SHW is the same as this R2 droid in terms on paint scheme, both are from the same mold but this R2 has his sensorscope, R2-SHW does have one, its just already inside R2-SHW instead of displayed on package. I ordered without collector and it came MOC, thanks toysnowman! very happy because this figure for me is hard to find in canada.
