"When Collector’s Platoon first started out, it came from the passion of hunting toys we grew up with, and along the way meeting other collectors and just sharing stories. This drove a passion to create a Canadian event to meet other collectors with a shared interest of a toy line that we grew up with.
That group was G.I. Joe! The Yo Joe community is full of awesome people who share a love of nostalgia and building their childhood collection again. Collector’s Platoon – G.I. Joe Show debut in April 2019 and held in a local R.C. Legion in Etobicoke, Ontario with a second show in November 2019. With the support of Business Sponsors, vendors showcased new & vintage figures & toys, talented artwork, Joe Repairman and Cosplayers.
Alas, 2020 was cancelled due to the world pandemic and the health & safety of family, friends and the community was our priority. Moving Forward: Welcome 2021 and we are dedicated to supporting inspiring Canadian collectors’ needs with our online shop and providing display accessories courtesy of Iain’s Display and Accessories. Serving and shipping to customers in Canada only. We hope you enjoy our humble site as much as we enjoy reminiscing of childhood collectibles.
