DC Super Powers Wave 6 - 4 1/2-Inch Scale Action Figure

I'm really enjoying McFarlane's current relaunch of the SUPER POWERS line. Even with limited articulation and detail, it's the charming embrace of simplicity, deep DC lore and the price point that keeps me coming back to the line with every new Wave. So there's more to love about the line than dislike for sure.

My major gripe with McFarlane's Super Powers have to do with the packaging...particularly with the Wave 6 line. Many of the figures are arriving in the hands of the collectors with loose bubbles caused by either poor gluing OR the lack of glue to keep the bubble affixed to the card. This doesn't effect those who like to open their figures...but for those of us who like to have at least one of each figure still sealed it can be problematic. All of my figures from TOY SNOWMAN were still affixed to the card, but a couple of them had loose bubbles and you could tell that if you looked at them the wrong way they would just pop right off the card. The ones I did open to display practically opened themselves. Aside from the packaging issues, the sheer amount of Bat-representation in the line makes me think the series could just easily be called "Batman and the Super Powers Team" as there are multiple flavors of Batmen to choose from. SUPER POWERS is the Baskin Robbins of Batman figures.

Out of the 6 figures I ordered from TOY SNOWMAN, all 3 of the BATMAN figures I received from had creases on the card...which either happened in shipping to me or were already damaged. I didn't pay extra for collector's packaging and I'm not one to complain about some card damage since I am happy to have the figures.

All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and will continue to collect the SUPER POWERS series. If you're a fan of the 80's or DC COMICS in general, it's a great series.
